SINCE 1919

Serra International, Inc. was established in New York City in 1919, after the end of World War I, as an International Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker. Since then we have weathered the Great Depression, World War II and the many hard economic and political times that have closed the doors of many in our industry. Serra remained strong throughout this time and continued to add to its growing list of trusted worldwide agents in all key ports to extend our reach. As the need arose, we added specialized services such as Project Cargo and Logistics Management which have proven to be valuable additions to our company.

Technology was applied to all of our operations as it became available. Serra has always explored the emerging technology of the time to determine if it would be applicable to its existing systems without sacrificing the personal service Serra is famous for. Serra was the first company in our industry to have a web site when the internet was unknown by most people and the graphical web was only a dream. We had email capabilities when there was no one in our industry to receive our email. Serra always had to wait for its peers and competitors to catch up. Today our SerraTrac Supply Chain and Shipment Tracking System embodies not only the latest technology but also incorporates over 90 years of experience in the way it audits and checks data and documents for best practices, errors and compliance.
